ya, it goes right on the inlet.  i shoot it in, then slow crank the pull cord, then shoot it in again.

My pressure washer guy says windshield washer fluid is fine. The cheaper the better.
I just reuse the special bottle of pump guard I got from depot with the shut off and garden hose fitting.

Finally cracked a plastic fitting in my pump this past winter.  $10 and it's good-to-go again.

Jim said he will look and fix trans very quickly once he gets it.  Says probably seal failure from heat.  Clutches should not be worn at all yet.

advises sustained temp 220 continuous, 260-80 max intermittent.

we talked about different manual valve body options, i think you need to talk to him to straighten that out.

seems good, thanks.

Not sure what my schedule on getting it pulled out yet is. blah blah unneeded details. Beem making good progress around the house, almost ready to make use of the garage again (in the ready to clean it up fashion).

Cannot find vac leak.
May just replace intake manifold gaskets and dbl check injector orings. Not sure what else to try. Verified it's not one of the actual vacuum lines.

Trans temp gauge problem is the sender. The spare I have doesn't have compatible ohm ranges so I need to swap both pieces to make it work. After verifying gauge function and then checking the sender (it spins where it shouldn't), I misplaced the vdo sender. Mother. Fucker.

So, all told, I drove it out of the trailer and back in again. Productive night.

Lack of workspace keeps me bitching. I'm running on Sunday. Need anything to/from downstate, anyone?

I'm more worried about the un findable vacuum leak than a known trans thing at this point. Think manifold gaskets are a reasonable next step?

i dont know the procedure used- contamination, improper torque, or oring damage from installation would be my first guess before gasket failure.

I didn't torque super carefully. They were cleaned but not lubed. Surfaces were cleaned. It was all FILTHY to begin with including some rather crusty deposits on the head side.

the torque really isnt so important- i found that following the sequence is more important in the thousands i bolted down and did back fire / burst tests on....
