Mike, what’s the shopping list for that cam that was suggested? Need to think about that.

Wideband needs a separate O2 to the one per bank for the computer?

John can do tune?
You going to do this or just run the cheap motor? I plan to check compression and go from there. If compression is good I think I’ll get Pete on the way. Why not add a week of extra work when it’s less than a month to the race?

John said if the engine is in his shop upsidown on an engine stand, he can do the cam and springs in 40 minutes.  wideban and a place to run some pulls (open parking lot) he can tune.

same parts for 5.3 or 6.0 junkyard build

Sounds good. You have or know of a stand? I don’t.

Time to get a crane and collect my missing tools from Joe.

Motor mounts, headers, trans shifter, tv cable, cooler lines.

And whatever I’ve forgotten.

Needs some vacuuming.

Motivation to find room for better air filtration

Any suggestions on easy and effective methods to clean out that throttle body and intake or should I just spray a ton of carb and brake cleaner through it all? New motor is drive by wire so I plan to run this intake.

There are some mil surplus Donaldson items on eBay. Good deals to be had. I’ll be finding a new home for the battery and hoping for a codriver with small feet should I ever find one. Hopefully make this motor last a bit longer with reduced silica intake.

Just need to grab some appropriate elbows and a straight flex once the filter is mounted.

intakes are same, just need to add a few of the brass inserts which can be done with a propane torch
