Bought some pushrods after talking to my buddy back home who spent quite a few years doing performance builds of all sorts.

Lq4 is stripped except crank bolt/pulley

I need to make a scrap run. Too much crap around.

I should try to sell some stock ls brackets too.

Posted a bunch of old ecus tonight, i had way more than i even knew. Probably sell this blue-green and its harness and dbw throttle body too.

Have 3 total blue-reds including what’s on my car now. Other 2 are still stock.

I bet my idle hunt was because the throttle plate bleed hole was 99% plugged with oily dirt. Half an hour to clean out the throttle body. I wonder how healthy the IAC valve is.

Intake prepped. Old hopelessly dirty intake stripped of all nutserts for any future needs and will go in the garbage. Throttle body cleaned, that took a full can a full rag for scrapings and almost an hour. Yuck. Motor is mounts and a crane away from out. Trans and case are halfway there. Mounts, cables, rear, and mid shaft w carrier bearing. Front shaft, which is new, is great.

Probably throw some paint on this chassis while it’s stripped so far if there’s a warm day in here. That’ll make it feel better about itself.

notes to self:
probably 36lb injectors needed
check fuel pressure to verify pump is still adequate

Got away with winching down the front, barely. Could really use a smoother driveway for the trip back in. Uugh. Probably borrow a neighbor for a few minutes. Or one of you suckers. When that time comes...

Didn’t fire it. Decided to work on exhaust first. I think because I’m excited for full breathing improvements plus proper oxygen sensors.

Y pipe redone, needs full welding. Test fit in chassis. 3” needs finesse to clear links and chassis so I’ve got a bit more to do to. Might wrap it tonight yet. It’s close.

Anyone have an m18x1.5 tap?

Put o2 bung plug in when welding the bungs in, stuck in the last bung for some reason. Didn’t destroy the bung threads, just those on the plug, but need to chase them.

Really worked out well to keep from fucking up the threads
I think I just tried to remove it at the wrong time. Came out one turn then stuck and ate itself.

Accessories on. gonna grab injectors before I finesse the harness in around under and through but it’s plugs, water, oil, a dozen small bolts and 2 big nuts (motor mounts) from running. Full welded Y last night if I didn’t mention that but rest of exhaust not done yet.

Just pulled the battery to try and figure out where it’s moving to, or if I need to get some fancy small thing. Getting that air cleaner in there is gonna suck to do but it’ll be worth it to keep it alive. Hope there’s still a little passenger foot room.
