thanks.
I like a complete 2007 truck with 6.0 and a bad trans, wrecked in back for $1400 too, but no way to fetch such things at the moment.

finishing up some family computer support at work now, not looking good for a compression test tonight. dinner plans tomorrow. no radiator ordered yet either. humbug.

Buffalo area someplace

Harness swap doesnt seem like TOO much extra work but sending out another pcm is definitely an additional delay

If you are swapping engines, you might as well upgrade. Get it ready for Legends class.

Compression ok. One low hole at 140. Other 3 in that bank 150  other side 160.

There was a cold hole with a gnarly plug. It’s one of the 150s. I swapped that plug for one of the really pretty plugs on the 160 side after cleaning it up. Now it’s running like a top.

Should have spit tested and pulled that plug last weekend.

Smoke way down. Unknown what fouled the plug though. They are all 2yr old or so. I’d bet even with ok compression that hole may be the source of my oil smoke.

I’ll put fresh fluid and filter on the trans and pretend its ready to race. Evaluate trans temps during the race and decide on preventative rebuild there, unless I see way too much of the good stuff in the pan.

Trans fluid looks like motor oil. Smells way worse. Dropping pan tomorrow after it drains more fully. Want to minimize mess if dripping. I think the pan clears everything with the skid installed. can’t wait to find out

fuck this thing.

you have a radiator part number from the olden days? I forgot to measure as I was restraining myself from lighting it on fire.

need to cut bolts out of the skid to drop it to get the pan out, they won't unthread all the way.
add in air fittings blowing apart half a dozen times and climbing in an out of the trailer and I'm ready to call this weekend already.

wanted to have the pan contents evaluated and the pan back on with a fresh filter ready to fill tonight. instead I'm like 30% done from the only good weather day and I have to do the rest in 90+ degree temps with whatever time work will let me have this week. maybe without my own tow rig. F

put a AC unit cardboarded into the back door of the trailer haha

sad you dont have a radiator in hand at this point.  pretty sure it was a griffin and like this one, but no idea.

https://www.summitracing.com/parts/gri-1-26242-x/overview/

should have 1.5 and 1.75 outlets, and its a single pass.

I have a spare new of whats in Matts and My car on the shelf, Matt has a used good one also in his trailer.  they are dual pass (outlets on same side.

I didn't know you got a sweet Summit discount.

dual pass would be nice for packaging and standardization, but too much like work to change. I'll probably solder up the holes in this and keep it for a spare.

I know it is hack and probably not worth it for what you are doing but I have had really good luck jb welding radiators for a semi permanent fix
