I have a dealer account with Summit, typically saves pennies to decent percentages. Depends on the brands.

Don't want to tread on Arie territory, but if you are placing big Summit orders, shoot me the part numbers and I'll quote it with my price. I can have things drop shipped to you as well.

I've had the engine skid on and off once or twice. damaged threads above the skid somehow, won't back out with my impact. NO idea what could have gotten them there.

exact fit radiator found: www.summitracing.com/parts/gri-1-25272-x/

texted cora. calling Southbend now.

i should be good to tow down if you have to prioritize working on the car before the tow rig

plan to run the truck to buffalo and back this week to see if the codes appear or not.  then role.  tuner is pulled.

I don’t want to fuck around with that BS again. Between not having the car here, and having to work until 8-9p all last week, that put me where I am today.

I’m calling it. I’ve killed myself too much with not much to show for it already this year.

I could get it done IF I find someone to weld the bellhousing AND I work every night until 2 AND if nothing else goes wrong - all to most likely melt my transmission and dnf.

Hopefully all three units will be ready for Attica and I’ll hate life less over the next 2 weeks for it.

Then I’ll see if the pound of fines I found in the pan are the last this trans had to offer without wasting 8 hr burning diesel and with less likelihood of destroying a trans core running it until I stop, as I would.

If I had more confidence in the trans running right and cool I’d do it. But I don’t. and I’m tired of killing myself for disappointment.

Radiator is cursed.

First unit showed up like so:

Second unit was due Friday but was mispitched, and spent Friday in Geneva waiting to come back to Henrietta instead of on truck for delivery. Due for monday delivery.

I have incredible luck with shipping, very surprised to have 2 issues on one item.

I bet #8 plug is fouled again. Ran like crap putting it on the trailer. Intake valve seal? Injector over-flow?

Trans was at 190 on the trails. Seems warm-ish but maybe non fatal? Didnt have space or opportunity to beat on it a all.

Where's the trans temp sensor is located? And what kind sensor is it?

sensor is in a bung on the rear of the steel pan; it's a 2 wire electronic sensor as supplied with my accumeter (?) gauge.

I haven't checked it with a temp gun but I have no reason to suspect it's not reading properly since the cheap fluid was cooked completely after a day of hitting 270+

Re: fouling plug

Initial next steps: let the motor get warm. Thermostat and radiator fan control. Long overdue.

O2 sensors. right now the right bank is missing, and left bank is post-merge and seeing both streams.

Obd2 port to see what else EMS may be unhappy about.

Not sure where pcv comes into the intake - could it favor #8? After eating through another punch bag with power steering ATF I’ve been thinking about better fluid containment after draining the trans. Maybe a pcv catch can could go along with that?

Is there such a thing as a one-way drain valve that can be overcome with 3-5psi? Would be really nice to have an over-flow similar to a radiator cap for all fluids that would let any over-flow drain back. Maybe I could just make what I’m thinking of using minimal pressure radiator caps? Not sure if I might blow other seals in power steering or transmission at 5psi though. I bet that would push past input and output shaft seals.

Meh. I’ll see how my nitrile glove held up instead of the balloon.

Pinhole in spin-on power steering filter stopped me for just over 20m.

What an f’d failure!

Put me 10th in class and 28th overall.

Minus 20m would have put me 5th/10th.

Needs:
PS service. New filter probably new pump as pm. Got it HOT bypassing filter and cooler for 2.5 laps

New seats

Horn button on wheel

Kingpin bushings

Vulc left front tire and new inner air lock tube. Two visible slices running last half lap on a flat.

Trans got just over 230 and thats it. Still running on 8 going into the trailer (I cleaned #8 plug Thursday night; totally fouled again)

Awesome!  On the first spreadsheet, you're the only one that is labeled as YAM. What is that?
