And there’s a lost amazon driving in front of my house right now. Hahaha

Sweet multi post.

When your cheap braided lobe and AN fitting set comes with o-rings for each AN fitting, you know it’s quality.

My jump pack doesn’t have enough ass to start the bro on its own. Charging the shot battery that was in it last season. Missed one fitting. Will be running with no power steering and no belt. Fitting due Friday. Assemble and fill. Done. Assuming no leaks.

Hopefully the belt hanging off it is right.

Belt hanging off it was wrong. I have a lot of belts that are wrong. Some of these may fit smikes or Matt’s engines?

Did not achieve perfection. Pulley align must be slightly off, brand new belt walks 2 ribs at high rpm

After I made the adjustment I thought it would need it walked 3 ribs at idle.

Need to take upper rad hose off to get good eye on things. Probably just need to pull the pulley off 0.25”

Easy to pull off that upper rad hose since I failed at getting the rad damage to seal up. I’ll just throw some Barr’s Leaks in it if I get the steering good and it’ll be ready to run.
I cut, twisted, and flattened the 4 bad tubes after failing at soldering them a few times.

I need a tig. Probably could have touched the 5 bad spots and been done. Or blown some big, meaningful holes in it.

Backed off the pulley this far (sample pump, assumed same shaft length since they seem to be standard). Seems maybe ok! Load center is not beyond snout of shaft but is damn close.

That depth is exactly as thick as the mounting ears on the bracket.

If this ruins the pulley or shaft, I should be able to make an offset pattern face mounting plate. Otherwise just make an entire new mounting bracket. Needs to incorporate an idler pulley that mounts on a different plane, so that’s annoying.

Absolute max replacement width 24”

Mounting terribleness will go away.

Should have new radiator in tomorrow, and a second truck OUT of the shop. Shame I don’t have straight fenders to put on it, would be nice to redo the whole front clip, but that can wait for never. Or if anyone uses these things again.

Bottom is lower than old radiator was. Channel is about the right size with isolator padding and should hopefully protect from any from-the-bottom damage. May add a tie or three to the bumper for good measure on that front.

Going from two fans to one due to smaller radiator surface. I’m certain that’ll still be plenty adequate. I think they’re 12”

I still work like a heathen. Too much done on the floor. Still not putting things in sane places even with plenty of room. Not having “away” places yet to put things. Decades of habits from shit workspace to break. It’s embarrassing. How long will that take?!

I sure do love that portaband no matter what, though.

Didn’t touch rear fenders but it’s race ready. Radiator is done and full, battery box is on and hold down is tight.

Radiator got mud plugged and I overheated.

Found out from Will that after pulling my cluster I would not be charging. Battery went dead after second heat. Got a push start and crossed the right two wires to fix that.

Great shakedown. I need to wire up a mud muncher hookup in this one, badly!
