without a doubt. what's left of my dual rate stops confirm that.

ill give him a call this week.  Probably best to get you on the fox program also.

did you chat with Wayne yet about that?

depending on what I can find for springs, that's somewhere between much better and wildly better than the 3600 out the door I've been comparing to.

Interesting that Wayne is asking about the seals.

Put together a list today. No toter or other new toys this year (brolite exempt…), car deserves too much.

Want to order shocks soon, like this week soon, hopefully.

I still have never heard from Fox on my application from last year. Know who I should pester? Should I just order through one of you?
Any issues with getting things set up for my car if it's bought that way?
Need: relatively exact sprung weights F&R and motion ratios OR free lengths, spring rates, preload and ride height lengths. I don't think I have all 4 spring rates, just 3. Should be able to measure the rate with a scale against the wall and my dumbass vice setup, right?

Ryan - do you still have a wholesale at ruffstuff to get stocked up on heims?

Any eBay vendor in particular I should look at for link material? I need to check my current sizes and clearances and lengths, I think it's my front uppers that are bent for clearance, but the frame side mounts might be able to move enough to be able to go straight. I don't recall if my uppers are 1.75 or 2" currently.

I'd like to match Matt's sizing with 2" upper and 2.375 lowers all around if that will clear. Seems right. 1.25" heims x16. I don't see a reason for 1.25 on the uppers - other than 1" don't seem to exist, and 7/8 seems too small.

Rear bumps, and whatever it takes to properly place them.

Rear swaybar - probably similar setup to smike's with long arms, though below the chassis.

Replace rear spare mount & bumper. Probably end up going high with the tire and use the first generation tail lights. Probably not bother running a spare for racing with the liners unless I start getting flats.

Unfuck front driveshaft, I think I have the parts for that in my shaft pile now. Not certain.
New ujoints in rear shaft.
tighten lacing on driver seat
tweak steering wheel further down
fresh hood without as many holes for things that aren't there anymore
I'll wait to plate the subframe tubing until I'm U4 banded. Going to be hard enough to hit 4400#. Kinda worried about that with gaining shock weight. Pre-KOH '15 weight was 4460 with I-don't-recall how much fuel and no tools/spares at all. Might have to do lightweight hubs/brakes to make it without pulling real parts.

Target: shakedown weekend of 4/9

Chances for begging some [significant] shop time?
- shocks/sprung weight measurement? Probably can do here without too much trouble.
- links
- link mounts
- shock mounts
- driveshaft shit?

Chris Cabrera is our Fox contact.  less busy than Wayne and likes us.  Im also working on spec'd some 12" bipasses for my front.  we can do an order together.  what are your hardware plans? just more 2.5's with pacs?

Ryans dealer account still works on ruffstuff

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-Dia-x-36-Long-7075-T651-Aluminum-Round-Bar-2-7075-T651-Aluminum-Rod-/200481627072?hash=item2eada2dbc0:m:mT9ze5dxHvMh6asPTkiWNCw

your front uppers are 1.75x250 DOM and are bent for clearance when the LS got swapped in

fox bumps are about 350 a pair, i have new 2" strokes on the shelf that didnt fit on my car FYI

both our cars have never been weighed.  get banded at KY or any other regional race.   KOH staff flys in.... scales are heavy and never brought.... they wont not let you race if you show up.

Smike can order from ruff stuff with my account,  or send you login details. I think he uses it more than I do.

pull your rear coils, measure free length, thow a cinder block on them, measure compressed length.  weigh cinder block with bathroom scale.

F=kx
lbs=spring rate*distance

i swear the rear got swapped to 150/150

if you can read one of the numbers upper or lower, you can calculate the other spring also while its on the car also

doesn't Chris just work for Alltech? Not sure what the relation is between Fox and Alltech with Wayne working for both...

I guess I'll shoot him an email and see what he has to say. Thanks for giving him the heads up

wayne owns altech and is contracted 100% by fox

Chris is the president of Altech.  Not sure how things are aligned.

I talked to chris on FB last night about both our cars.  Plan to call him tonight or tomorrow.  I cant find details on the Fox bipass air shocks.  it actually looks like you buy a bipass and an air shock, swap parts to make a bipass air and a smoothy to sell lol.

Finally got to the easy measuring last night. Still need to pull shocks and measure preload/free lengths and confirm rate on rear uppers (and maybe the rest just since they're old and whooped?)

Appears to be no issue to move the frame side of the front uppers outside the rail for better motor clearance to allow a straight 2" link. Will increase triangulation of the uppers quite a bit, I should probably make up some numbers (I didn't measure them all) to throw into a calculator and see what that actually changes. Will need to be well-mocked up to be sure the link stays out of the frame before the kick up to the motor mount, s.o.p.

front shocks are wasting a full 2.5"+ of travel. Just under 7" of shaft showing, and it's resting on the 4" bumps. I should either move the upper mounts down, or go to 16s. which of course is what the car was originally built with. Nobody seems to run 16s on a standard issue rock donkey, I'm sure there are reasons? Wonder what your thoughts are on that matter.

BTW I'm right at 72" tall with 7" of shaft showing right now. I should move my spare up to the backpack location to account for that. Tools are right over the shocks so that's easy. Motion ratio is close enough to 1:1 as not to matter - 7Ëš from vertical in back and 5Ëš in front at current height.
