The body has been hacked into before..
Notice one side had the early jeep logo while the other has the intermediate and the V8 badge...

But yes and no.. I have seen them either way, but never without a seam unless filled in.  The driver side is the same, just not as pronounced due to the angle of the picture...
I never wanted a red car.. always thought they were tacky and common...
I now have 4 very not common cars and they are all red.. :o

spent a little time looking the frame over...
Smike I might be making a punch out list for things I need welded...

this is the passenger side shackle hanger..

the sleeve is all rotted out..
the passenger rear is close to the same while the drivers side is "ok" but would rather be safe than sorry...

will these work?

If thats the case. Cut them off and buy new 1/4" thick hangers too.

that’s the front shackle hanger.. there is suppose to be a metal sleeve there that rotted out where the bushings go into for the top shackle bolt...
I am debating between replacing the whole mount with a Ruff Stuff piece or leaving the factory riveted hanger and just doing the sleeve…

Thoughts?

being a 73, i bet the sleeve wasnt installed, those things are beefy- no way it rotted.

i guess it would depend on what springs your putting under it which way to go with the mounts-
