I still don't understand why auto parts stores still not required to accept used coolant, like with wherever whoever sells batteries and automotive oils and tires. I still have some to dispose from years ago. PITA.

Smike, how do you dispose your waste coolant, from your shop activity; parting out jeeps or from repairs/maintenance/builds? I am this close >< to just start mixing motor oil and coolant, just so its "used motor oil" and take it in to auto parts, but I don't really want to, and you need waste oil for heat lol.

was the price of that 650? it says 800 now lol

Processed 211 gals of oil today into a tote ready for use.  separated about 20 gals of hydrogen peroxide and goooo from multiple buckets and drums of donated oil.  JJ, Tucker, and Jeremy all have to do way better with their oil storage lol

picked up one of those rotary drump pumps, seems not terrible.  50 cranks in a minute or so to fill a 5 gal bucket

down to 500 today, i might have to make a run tomorrow
Seems like a reasonable price to pay, even if you have to put a couple hundred bucks into it, to have a reliable heat source that doesn't blow your face off

cleaned out the furnace and replaced the flew with all new pipe, cleaned up waste oil area and processed a bunch ready for burn.  didnt make any changes to setup for this year.

probably the last year for the lower drum, she is looking a little burn out and the clamp ring is getting harder to seal on the front.  the top drum with all the heat exchanger work looks great and cleaned up fine, so thats good.

probably will need a new burn pot mid this winter, she has a few holes.  going to try and grab some 12" stainless pipe like 0.095" wall to make a better one.

3-4 burns completed this week.

having some smoke on shutdown so i think i need to change the depth of my oil tube.  the lower drum is on its 4th year and starting to sag so i think its time to build a big boy unit next!  not sure if i want to go water boiler to feed house too, or just build another big burner for the shop.
