I think we have success!  hooked up can hi and low from the trans to the ECM and gave the wake up ignition power.  plugged back in trans harness and still have forward and reverse which is much better than the last time the trans was plugged in!

noting here, if its funny OD issues, there is a brake switch input to TCM to release the lockup i assume.  should be an easy hookup if needed later.

made a floor support, bolted floor tins back in, bolted lower steering column down,  mounted gas petal, affixed a brake switch and wired it it.

major progress!  would be driving it tomorrow if the salt was gone!

hit list
cab marker lights in the mail
head liner install
rubber floor mat install
new wiper motors and switch in the mail, install
mount seat and raise it 2"

Been meaning to pick some up and try this in the rover..
I never wanted a red car.. always thought they were tacky and common...
I now have 4 very not common cars and they are all red.. :o

ya from TSC.  they have two kinds.  a 4'x6' sheet that has ribbed texture and its legit 3/4" thick   (heavy!) 40$

this time i went with the smaller 3' x 4' one that is a little thinner like 5/8" and has a different texture surface. 20$  worked out great.

good test drive.  motor and trans lots of power no issues.

has a little power steering whine need to check that, and the driver mirror mount needs a support inside the door to stop the rattle.

other wise sweet machine.  need to hit the dmv this week.

have a buyer, will see if he comes though.

manny attempts cant get a good VIN etch.  bringing the VIN tag in my pocket and have super good pictures printed out.   Hopefully the dumb bitch wont require a sheriff verification again.

scrapped out dust and paint with a needle and got a semi decent vin Etch.  should be good to go.

never transferred Historical plates before, doesn't seem to be clear if MV82 is good enough. MV440H doesnt have a transfer section.... love the DMV rolling the dice.  folder up to 11 documents this time!
