my Tork locker hoodie to the brunt of the impact but lost a little skin on my left thumb holding an air chuck on this guy when it popped.  ring hit my shoulder and left shin!  probably only had 5-10 psi in it and was at least the 6th time i have filled it to move.

sketchy!

surprisingly metalico didnt care the chassis had 5 tires on it, and that it fell off the trailer in the middle of the yard!  win!
Title: Re: 1946 International KS-5
Post by: mr.mindless on December 15, 2018, 02:52:57 PM
I wonder if falling off the trailer is what made the tires not matter.

i did get some feed back from brendan to try.

Quote
The ecm and tcm in both must communicate with each other. Sometimes data circuits go through other modules between the two. Unplug one module the entire chain is broken and no communication. There is also a accessory wake up signal (dark blue wire) that may need hooked up.it's a 12v+ signal that the bcm usually provides in the stock vehicle to enable communications.

Quote
In the end, you want the ECM data wires to go to the TCM, than the TCM to the OBD2 port. (TCM Inside 6l90 trans)  So ECM pins 27,28 will go to Transmission pins 11,10.  Next, Transmission pins 13,14 go to the OBD2 port.

enough i think above now to run 3 wires from trans connector to PCM connector and see if we are good!

I think we have success!  hooked up can hi and low from the trans to the ECM and gave the wake up ignition power.  plugged back in trans harness and still have forward and reverse which is much better than the last time the trans was plugged in!

noting here, if its funny OD issues, there is a brake switch input to TCM to release the lockup i assume.  should be an easy hookup if needed later.

made a floor support, bolted floor tins back in, bolted lower steering column down,  mounted gas petal, affixed a brake switch and wired it it.

major progress!  would be driving it tomorrow if the salt was gone!

hit list
cab marker lights in the mail
head liner install

new wiper motors and switch in the mail, install

ya from TSC.  they have two kinds.  a 4'x6' sheet that has ribbed texture and its legit 3/4" thick   (heavy!) 40$

this time i went with the smaller 3' x 4' one that is a little thinner like 5/8" and has a different texture surface. 20$  worked out great.

Golf is a slow machine with the turbo limp mode thing but I bet it gets 60mpg in slow mode hahaha. Long ramps are in Joe. Welcome to any of it.
