Like 3 hours of labor washing and rinsing and prepping and rinsing and sealing.
It’s curing now.
Wash with soap and water
Rinse with water
Wash with “metal wash”
Flush with water
Wash with Muratic acid
Double flush with water
Wash with “fast etch”
Wash with acetone x2
Coat with sealer and keep rotating and then lace to cure with some low pressure forced air.
And after 20m of that I’m worrying about condensation because the half psi air I’m putting in is expanding right at the tank and it’s making it cold and it’s sweating. Hopefully it’ll work out. If not it’ll be hard to fix.
Probably would have been easier to wash and cut out the rust and weld on a patch - but that could still have a pinhole, so…. Yeah.
Hopefully can have my yard cart back and clean up a million things.
Anyone have a hitch laying around that I could weld on?
