Lost a day to moving and cleanup yesterday. Lost half a day to family today. Fail.

Drew myself a picture and measured things after utter failure on frontend alignment today. I think I know what I need to do now. I hope.

Going to take some comp time this week and hopefully get frontend lowered and swaybar done.

Goatbuilt brackets and 185cc orbital arrived yesterday.
It was cold and shitty and I finished my taxes.
I also made a sketch and did some measurement on it because I don't know CAD, and I think I figured out what adjustments I need to make to the front links to get the axle where it belongs. Shit breaks my head and I just can't "figure" it. Very frustrating.

link adjustment is an advanced mental exercise.

once you force your self to realize you can adjust 1 link to move the axle 3 different ways, or you can adjust 3 links to move the axle one way- your almost there.

ill admit, its easier to just put it on the lift and pick one to start to twist and watch what happens haha

twistable links help too.

I was honestly thinking of removing all links and tweaking the axle to exact position and then adjusting the links to mate it where it is placed.

I might still do that: I'll probably end up running these links for another year; the lowers probably deserve to be flipped; I know I need to do at least 1-2 if not all 4 bushings.

fuck no lift. fuck no heat. fuck needs for open garage doors.
taking time off tomorrow morning, and thursday.

that guy should be fired!  hhaha forgot about that.  bummer.

id pull 3 of them, set the 3rd to middle travel, place axle then go from there and re assemble.

and honestly, dont get tied up on getting the axle centered and straight- we arent road racing.  functional and biased for clearances to not break things is much more important.

with a much tighter orbital whats your steering cooler situation again?

well right now it's shifted to the wrong side for clearances, so double fail :)

I have 3 coolers up front now. one dumb tube & fin, one good tube & fin, one good stacked plate.

I *think* the steering is currently on the dumb tube & fin. I could swap it with the good tube & fin seeing as the trans never gets even close to hot? I will also be looking for a place to mount the spin-on system filter I harvested from the Dakota like you have now. that'll add some capacity - and it will go ahead of the cooler to keep pressures in the cooler as low as possible.

All front coolers need to shuffle around a bit with the increased bump. A radiator hose needs to move too, that's sad. I need to get rid of some coolant. Big box stores take that for recycling?

your too nice!

Fun fact: front bump cans are an inch off from one another side to side.

I need to add half an inch of wheelbase to clear the truss with the pinch bolts. getting closer to progress. Race will be a squeeze. Again. If I even get shocks in time.
