The pinch is easy. It doesn't even need a big patch.

The leak at the bead is the weird one. I think with a cleaner rim and bead it wouldn't even have leaked. Just not sure which material to stuff it with. Gorilla glue superglue or rubber cement. Or find some windshield urethane?

Got the front joints replaced and brakes fixed last night. I just pushed the fluid out of the rear - barely loose fitting from line replacement that didn't leak at all when I bled them, only when I STOOOOOOD on them like when racing.

still need to:
- clean a wheel and bead; patch and remount a tire
- make sure the front axle is where it belongs and weld the jam nuts
- fix suckdown winch cable, again
- ignore the front diff seals again
- call the rear JJs fine (the left front one was bent to go along with the broken right front)
- ignore the trans kickdown cable again

The 3/4" unibits seem to suck. I ran two old ones and two brand new ones last night, all 4 stalled out at the same step, I think 5/8, and just seemed like the damn drill was in reverse there. Bah.

NO WAY will the frame side brackets fit a heim, or even close to it. I'll need to rebuild those to get rid of the bushings. On te subject of bushings, there was already wear on the front uppers from one lap, I put fresh poly in. Bah.

i have learned maring and heating the shit out of the steel with a dull bit, and not flap wheeling the bur out of the way before hitting with a new unibit is no good.

heat on steel is what kills them- you can sharpen them with a cut off wheel too haha

I was thinking I probably hardened the steel I was cutting with the bad bit...

Didn't do anything with any shocks, didn't do the front diff seals.

Everything else on te list is checked off. Hopefully solid. Installed the kickdown cable. Hopefully increased line pressure at WOT will make crawling work better. Not that it'll matter in this race - unless I get to stick it in D.

Need to pack tools, load trailer, shop.

Wasted two tires and a wheel. Lost the better of the tires and a good wheel off the truck along with a strap and a RTJ cluster.

Added about 2" toe out.

Learned how effective a bare rim is at shitty pavement destruction.

Need:
Beefier front bumper
Siren (related items - I nerfed at least 5 times)
More wheels
More tires
Some tubes
Rear air bumps
Set dual rate stops more betterer
impact onboard and a trailer jack set up to run via 3/4 hex for fast tire change

Zero issues other than hitting trees and flatting tires. Considering a wide bumper for these races. Seriously.

I forgot to mention that the kickdown cable works AWESOME. Left the slushbox in D all day, it shifted up at some loud number of Rs before the rev limiter, and shifted down when I dented the firewall with the pedal. perfect.

My only complaint is that I don't have trans braking in 2nd or 3rd. I think that's something that can be changed in the valve body, it's a shift kit option of some sort. If I tear the car down a bit to redo links, maybe I'll have the trans freshened and have that mod made...

I _swear_ I posted this 5 minutes ago

I really want that, but no go with Artec arms. Gotta move out to 4.5, so I can hit and inch more tree on each side... :(

I haven't touched this thing since I washed it and put it in the trailer.

Weird:

TreadDepot, where I got my tires, lists KMC XD Enduro beadlock a now, in 17x8 and 17x8.5. They have two different 6 lug patterns and two blank options. The center bores on the blanks are TINY! 72.6 and 83.06. No units given, but I'd assume mm dia. 4.77" is ~122mm. So wtf, over.

Who have you guys bought your KMCs through? I was figuring on 2 new tires and 6-7 wheels...

Not looking good for hitting shock tuning weekend. I have zero interest in rushing anything. WAY too burned out for that shit.
