finally got the hardtop mounted using some truck cap clamps.  I think I'm going to use these vrs. drilling the top.  Seems to be a nice tight fit and a fairly easy to remove.
Much like the original Meyer top a filler piece is needed to completely seal the A pillar.
Seems to be an nice tight fit, can't see any daylight through the seam.
Used some shims to get proper alignment of the doors to the top.
Keeping in mind there is a slid latch on the rearward side.

Took several measurements and a couple deep breaths to drill into the tub for the hinges.
overall happy with their placement and more importantly their function.  Doors seal well and latch properly..
I didn't drill the other 2 holes yet, (or the driver side for the matter) I wanted to leave enough adjustment if the first car wash ends up being a bath..  Made out amazingly well with the interior map pocket to roll cage clearance...

I have some better ideas for hinges and hinge color or treatment... (body blue or galvanized steel)  the cheesy black omix pieces are not doing it for me..

Need to do drivers side and some work on the spare tire carrier arms..

The white is growing on me. First glance I wasn't a huge fan,  but that is one beautiful machine.

my happiness about this overshadows the fact the Rover is down and the YJ is PITA.
really happy the way it came out and much better than a plain jane soft top.

Need to change finish of hinges..  thoughts on that?

Any color other than white on the doors is going to really stand out.  I would coat the door half white and the tub half blue.

Not sure how blue will look against the doors but it’ll look right against the tub for sure.

Color match the door half of the hinge and blue on the body half? Probably way  un-kosher and would look weird anyway.

I still think yours is much better.. just something about that one just does not fit.. not sure if it is the bubble hood or the square cage, something just seems out of proportion

WEIRD HOOD IS WEIRD!
I'm not a fan of that cage at all, either. Otherwise it looks nice.... But nowhere near nicer than the unit discussed herein.

Still eating ICM....
Been thinking about it this winter... need to try a resistor and check what I actually did.
Started digging into the wire harness to identify ignition circuit as wired vs as diagramed...

Coil is correct of electronic ignition
Interweb has suggested resistor...

Need to paint tire carrier from smikes "adjustments"
