Frame up on saw horses..
started reaming out front shackle bushings
cutting new thread on shock mounts and drilling out galvanizing slag.

I never wanted a red car.. always thought they were tacky and common...
I now have 4 very not common cars and they are all red.. :o

Looks awesome.

Why did you go the SUA route instead of SOA?

I'm not an engineer....
But from 1942-1995 every "universal" Jeep left the factory with SUA suspension...

I'd like to think that 53 years and billions in R&D know what's up...

mocked up the steering bracket and gear box...
some of the holes in the bracket need to be opened up a bit and I had to shave down some of the corners..  wasn't a precision fit.
does the angle of the steering box look good?  Im use to looking at the YJ where the box is perpendicular to the frame rails..

Fuck NLA parts..
Thought I was over that horrid three letter acronym..
Looks like 72-75 Jeeps can be just as obscure as land rovers of the same vintage..

seems that years of fat people abuse puts strain on these things..
a bead around the brackets would prob help this fat kid from breaking it... the factory in the early 70's didnt see the weight epidemic looming.

the bracket and the old welds fit like a puzzle...  shouldnt be too hard to match
