did a bit more shopping around since I pasted that, going rate is ballpark 75/upright and 20/beam. So that one isn't real good. Can get similar for around 600 a few places.

you did get an absolutely crazy deal. didn't find any of crazy deals live right now for anything taller than 8', and I want 10+ since ceilings are ~14.

How's this on price? I know you'd been looking. I'm not finding much to compare to.
Axle rack material and maybe frame for a chain fall crane - but I'm thinking I'd just skip the 9" material.

I saw that ad and I thought it might be the MFV equipment guy I bought from but doesn't look right either.

is the idea of gable ing the first bad roof to have a 14' door so Joe can pull in dead?

might be good to remember that in layout plans

Not dead, but if I ever do want to pull Joe in through that door, the alignment 4 post lift would be in the way of that as well.

Just throwing out an idea - if you wanted shelter for Joe, look into big carports on FB marketplace.  I see them popping up in my AO from time to time, people selling their carports reasonably cheap that are sized for a big boat or a 5th wheel/RV.  Seller usually wants the buyer to break down and remove which makes it cheaper.

not many of those used around here as they don't stand up to snow load well.

Ah good point. Didn't realize that when I said it.      Carports are very popular here for sun protection.

This is from the guy who knows Jim M. Bit high on beams, and he says his used 12' uprights go quick every time, popular size.
