34'er Bumper Pull
« on: July 26, 2017, 06:36:30 PM »
Acquired this afternoon.

Very sturdy and pulls nice for a 34'er.

At a glance it looked like a car hauler converted from a camper but it's not.

Look like three TJs will fit but tight. Plenty for two suv's.

Pretty cool with that ramp truck.

I like the tie down holes. Get d rings for them?

I've never seen time down rails like that before. Love it.

3 TJs might be tight haha.  I fit 3 YJs on my 34' wedge chained together bumper to bumper, and had about 10" of deck to spare from tire front tire to rear tire.   They were stock tire/bumper YJs also.

looks like a big bumper girl.  over axled should keep the tires happy for most part and they look far enough back to make a bumper pull tolerable.

E-track? Pretty common in container trucks. Not sure I'd trust it 100% with car tie-down. Prob be fine, though.

not sure what etrack is rated for but I've definitely seen it on floors for enclosed car hauling use before with over tire straps

Properly affixed and with the correct straps used, I'm sure it'd be fine. I was remembering of some of the tie-down clips I've seen that seem a bit weak.

Hauled Tom's XJ and 2 John Deeres and a pull-behind mower on it to the Picnic last weekend. Pulls really nice and go down the road straight and zero swaying. Definitely need look at brakes as some of them seem to be in-op (wiring?).

I think I need to raise my hitch one hole to level the trailer better and adjust the angle to move weight distributing hitch's bars down some.

Let's talk about some wiring tech

I want to put all new wires and replace light fixtures where needed add more marker lights and reverse lights to it.

I'm thinking to put at least 3 junction boxes so that way there'll be no splices to go bad beside at lights themselves.

I was thinking to use something like this but I want to say there gotta be a better sealing junction boxes available.

Kinda something like this but I'm not sure if it's worth the extra cost.
