can you just cut both of the above pieces and hose clamp in a short 2" section of rad hose from your part to the part that has the right interface?

good effort but i had my doubts sorry!

experience and skepticism wins the day. I'm surprised it didn't work better than it did. I'll hang onto the part and probably try to find a thicker o ring in case I ever need ti again but I'll have one plus a spare this afternoon FROM THE BEST PARTS GUY AROUND!

2nd place this weekend. 5ish hours to wash. Front end ride height sagging a bit. I wonder if I should get some different coils again.
Camber bushings continue to twist on their own to max out camber.
Threw belt in second race. Still need to refill coolant. Handful to drive in the mud with no power steering, I was keeping pace with Dylan easily and it was anybody’s race until the belt went. If it weren’t for attrition I’d have been much further back. No issues and it didn’t throw it again. Must have taken a clod if mud between belt and pulley.

Oh, I almost forgot. That time I thought I flatted a tire?

I think I remember where my other factory 14s are. I forgot to check the back, back stash behind the axle pile. I think they’re there along with the F150 17s needing to be redrilled to run cheap 32s on Gus.

Wheel swapped. First wheel I pulled to use had a bad crack. So down to 1 spare front wheel.

Forgot I bought that bead breaker. Wasted an hour. Dumbass.

Broken wheel changed. Tire fine once again. That tire has been through 2 broken wheels in the last month. Maybe 3 lifetime.

I’m out of stock 14” ranger wheels :(

Coolant was plumb full. Dunno what all the water on the floor was.

150# of steel bought for $150 to add to tail.

Makes the lead route look not as bad if it could be found but I was seeing people asking $1/lb and up. This I just get to weld on. See what difference it makes...

Alternator locked up. Smoked the belt on the crank. Don’t think I’ve had the crank spin in the belt before, thought I had a few seconds to look at what was still but all of it was still

My XJ did that. Twice.

Alternators seem like they love to seize from lack of use.

I’ve learned that seized alternators usually can be revived and keep going for a bit longer via force it to turn again on the pulley nut.

Felt like shit trying to break free with the nut. I would t race on that 6hr away. I’ve seen poor charging after that having done same myself.

I think corrosion jacked the case. This broken side faces the block. Do see what almost looks like impact but that doesn’t make sense. Maybe an old drop? Appears to have been seriously cracked at least through the winter.

New belt and alt on in a few minutes. Sweet. Check that belt is running right, and it is. Timing belt looks like it’s riding funny through the back of the cover though.

Can’t get cover all the way off, but this is right near the top as it shut down.

That’s a hard stop.
