I never wanted a red car.. always thought they were tacky and common...
I now have 4 very not common cars and they are all red.. :o

It's fine at Rausch. Didn't dig deep (or at all) for other series yet.

U4 requires 3" shoulder.

Doesn't matter unless I find a way to lose about 350# of weight to make the 1.75" cage legal.

They claim to have clarified the rules but the cage rule is defined based on "dry vehicle weight," while at the same time saying the vehicle must drive on and off the scales.

Can't drive it with no fluids, guys!

so to the letter
4660 with me in it and a full tank of fuel but no spares and tools.
minus just under 300 for fuel and me puts it there. but no spares/ no tools.

If I want to race something U4 sanctioned it's gonna warrent a phone call and probably another fidstvedgrevedg

Shuffling swamp thing to the rear lot got this near stuck tonight. Rear limits look way longer than an axle strap will do. Working on some things... See how she goes!

Rear limits. Lowered an inch. Preload was proper, may have to jack it back up it the limits don't look like they're wearing well. I limited droop an inch or so where I mounted them, have an inch of preload at limit and should be ok on articulation but if they break I'll have springs clangin'

Adjusted rear of driver seat up 1.25" and it's a whole new car to me. Can't wait to drive it again. Wheel is acceptable where it is now. Pedals are better too. Sight is better. Still a thumbs up over my noggin to the cage.

"Lights" switch popped a fuse. Which made no crank and no horn. So I checked the schematic and changed that right out in a jiffy. :facedesk:

Sail panels clear trailer no problem.

Still have many tech violations. Extinguishers are up next. Couldn't steal from my other rigs - found a bad one in the ram so I'm short. Shopping tomorrow.. I think I'll reinforce cheeseball mount with Velcro for now in the same place they were before.  Not sure if I can figure out something better. I pretty much hate all ext mounts.

I'll need to check the schematic*– I thought we decided that the front marker lights are what was on that switch. Neither one of them is working right now. One of them had been on Saturday? In the meantime, I need to not touch that switch!

the front marker lights are the smaller gage non automotive wire.  its a white with yellow tracer.  That wire use to go up towards the front for the round spots also.  could be a loose or bare wire up there.  Both yellows worked this winter when doing  warm up starts.  only pass side  worked saturday.

Modified factory mounts. They're USCG approved with a single band. Doubled up they feel pretty strong to me.

Put a 5#er just inside the trailer door too.

Forgot about orbital cover.

Didn't buy auto parts yet, still need a neg terminal and fluids. Still need to get some tool bags and sort tools.

Joint pulled out of a rear upper 4 link bar. 4.5 laps were GREAT. 3x 25 minute laps, a 30m lap where I stopped to give a line mountain racer my first aid kit after he took a hilift to the nose and I took forever to get belted back in, and a 2 hour final lap with 400' of winching and 2-3 stops to jurry rig rear 3 link.

Driveshaft needs new axle end yoke
Broke coilover body, may be other damage
Probably replace both rear upper links. I think the front uppers are the same age too?
Need tires. Spares wanted list is growing.
