Driver torsion key nut ripped through the crossmember. Right front frame cracked near plow mount/ sway bar mount. Rotted through the bottom of the frame there where the bottom kicks up from bumper mounting and shit will sit.
Need to decide whether to LOOK for more frame issues or just fix known and ignore the rest. Probably makes the difference between a 2yr and 5yr truck. I might hit it with the needle scaler quick and see what’s obvious and patch it. Worth a couple hours effort AFTER drivetrain leaks are sorted
Cab has had body work. Poorly done.
Put a quart or two in the trans and it was still slow to engage. Think I saw a motor oil leak. Had good pressure after adding two quarts. Power steering was dry, seemed to have power steering after adding fluid but return line leaking badly.
Didn’t beat the rain home so I’ll look at it later.
Batter was nearly flat when I got there. Shows 10v after jumping and running and now restarting on its own a few times. Low compression garbage is awesome to start on a weak battery!
Good aggressive drives. Steers have tread.
Manual tcase shifts properly. Column trans shifter sucks and is out of adjustment, as they all do.
