Unfortunately at my old age my memory is not as good lol.  I got the brakes all done over the course of a few days, wasn't bad.  I'd really like to use the lift to do the ebrake cables though.

Alternator needs replacement too. Got belt off the remains of its pulley and its crunchy as hell.

Booo

rockauto confirms 1.8t alt crosses over, in spite of different mounting.

lifts are tied up, really don't feel like doing that on the floor though.
I need to do better!

Swapped new injector nozzles on quicker than swapping the used alternator on. But hopefully ready for full time duty.

Minus the rear beam poor tire wear. Did double check bearings and bushings, nothing of note

Went bigger on the nozzles of course. May force a tune or boost fooler of some sort, it’s a smidge rich/hot.

Old nozzles were trash. Bad pattern, instant leak down, one had a drip and another had low pop pressure. I’m fully expecting a hard start and startup smoke fix.

Noticed a damp radiator while it was in the air. Small puddle in the driveway where it idled for a moment pre test drive. Yay

I need to keep a radiator, starter, and timing belt set in stock for these MF

I did buy 2 radiators.

Not driving this until rad is replaced, it's just plain old leaking now.

Hard start NOT fixed. gotta be in the injection pump.

checked and adjusted static timing, hopeful for final remedy?

radiators expected to deliver Weds. I'll find out when I pull it in for that & tire swap from the red white and Golf, wonder 5.0.

I think I either need to commit to swapping the rear beam in this, or say it's the engine donor and see what my options are for running an ALH on the BEL computer in the Allroad. Its body is in the worst shape of the three cosmetically. Cleanest underneath though and has the best interior.

Radiator in. Annoying job, but coming out the bottom as VW intended isn’t too bad with the lock carrier (header panel) loose.

AC condenser doesn’t look great. Didn’t check pressure but I wouldn’t be shocked if it’s pin holed somewhere.

swapped 4 new all seasons on it from the red golf. Ugly wheels but safe inspectable tires that don’t leak.

We’ll see if I have to try and talk myself out of an inspection ticket running the thruway to NH Friday morning .

Taking it to work tomorrow. Expect it to be % after all the recent issues repaired. I did lose the rear wiper motor last time I drove it. The arm won’t pop off either.

No issues. Slept great in back.

Will spin the tires in third now. Rpm flares if I stomp on it too hard but holds fine cruising. Mags appear great, will have to fill tomorrow and check. It’ll only take 3-4 gallons, I think it’s at 3/4 tank and 300 miles.

Have interior lights, remote lock, and headlight idiot buzzer back in this. Practice for doing Sarah’s car tomorrow replacing both front door latch ‘open’ sensors. Exceedingly German design. Probably a 1-1.5hr job now. I have switches in stock if the silver golf needs that repair

Rear hatch switch is different, and also uses a triple square size that’s between the sizes I have.  Probably won’t bother to look at that again. I was able to park the recently broken rear wiper instead of having it sit in the middle of the window. Nothing is seized other than the wiper arm to the stud, and after I plugged it back in it moved slightly and went to its real park position, so I’m unsure what the failure might be there. Didn’t blow the fuse, whatever it is.

I have wheels and snows, going to see if I can stuff equinox tires on this this week. 215/70r17. Iirc they were a size under size for the equinox. The wheels on the wagon now will get some right size snows for Sarah’s car that I grabbed last week.

Really need to look into rear camber. I’ve read there are camber plates. Should fire up the new alignment machine and put numbers to the problem before I scrub off hood studded snow tire

Checked records from Olden Times, I ran 205/75r15 Grabber AT2s & 225/60r16 Blizzaks on my first Jetta with no lift and minimal rubbing

Inch bigger radius will probably put into rubbing territory. Very possible strut clearance issue too. TBD
