Didn’t have a perfect length for alternator only, so I’ve got everything but PS spinning with a 39.0” belt, and have a 38.8” with me. Tensioner makes full contact on the 39 but it’s about at the end of travel even though the belt was a bear to get on. Probably says more about the lack of a proper serp tensioner wrench than anything else.

Hopefully if it was good for the 40 miles back to the cabin it’ll be good for the 700 to home!

Home safe, uneventfully. No further hiccoughs.

Need to check the rest of the fleet for good spares/ pending failures now.

$100 pit stop in Pittsburgh. Not great but much gooder

Lots quicker to slap these on than the rear fender body work. Adds Motivation to do that rear arch though. It’s extra ugly after scraping and rust kutter-ing

On the way to F&F for humble pie this has decided to sometimes not want to make much boost. Wonder if N75 is acting up. It’s not limp mode because it’ll still smoke like a tire fire, not limiting fuel at all.

But sometimes it’ll boost like it should. I should take advantage of one of those when it boosts like I should and force over boost limp mode. If it’s mostly going to make 10psi it drives. 300% better in limp mode when fuel is limited.

First couple of hills on the way out from the campground were pretty terrible. Then I finally got it able to make some boost and got it into limp mode and it has been a fantastic drive home ever since. Just coming into town of Canandaigua right now.

Have noted the white smoke haze at idle also turns into a ton of white smoke after idling for a while and leaving. Idling through a fuel stop to keep it in limp mode. Showed this to be pretty significant. Guessing that would be valve seals? That sounds challenging in an overhead cam situation .

Swapped N12 and N75. Worse if anything

Need to go under and check actuator on turbo next.

Turbo actuator is fine
It’s a vacuum leak. New in box n75 don’t fix it either. Found when jumping Sarah’s car yesterday that I can hear the leak at idle, and there is a different noise when actuation isn’t working from when it is like when the leak sucks shut.

Got new lines on steering yesterday. Still some leak. Hoping I can put another eighth of a turn on the AN and be good. Machining has a lot of galling, I’ll be annoyed if it’s an o ring leak.

Love that exhaust hanger too. Crunchy
