Picked up the brake shoes Thursday.  They look brand new!  Awesome work by Rochester Brake and Clutch.

Reassembled the passenger side

Still need to source a return spring.

Try PAC for the springs?  You never know. They had alot on display at SEMA. Also UTAH spring works maybe.

Springs arrived and driver rear reassembled.  Back on all fours (or six in this case)!

Cracked open the rear pumpkin finally: 1.5" of sludge on the bottom.  Scraped and shoveled and wiped out all I could reach.  Dowsed with 1.5 cans of brake cleaner.  No metal evidence.  May try to clean more...

Did you get front sheet metal, too? If you want a new ford v8 or merc diesel - complete donors are currently available!

I found a mechanical mitsu fuso diesel w trans that needs rebuild too. 400 on craigslist. I’m avoiding grabbing it myself but it you want it let me know and I could pick it up, not too far from my pinto motor. Relatively speaking.

All brake lines opened and blown out.  New front wheel cylinders installed.  New master cylinder bench-bled and installed.  New flex hoses installed.  All shoes adjusted.  System bled and good firm pedal achieved (at least in the garage).  New v-belt sourced and installed.  Rear diff refilled with 2 gallons of fresh 80W90.

Ready for yard test drive then getting parked for 4 months of hibernation.  :'(
