went to the DMV yesterday- upon blank faces tracing what i would like to do with my index finger over highlighted text on DMV documents, the supervisor was brought up.
I was informed i could do what i want, but needed a weight slip to change registration class with the added "Camping equipment"
Ran to Cat scales with the truck that decided to be 9680 (less than whats on the title now)
went back. took 3 girls behind the counter to casually decided what class to register me. One one said, we are going to call you a suburban, is that ok? i said sure as long as i get passenger plates! said yes. Girl says looks at weight and sees its lighter now. i tell her, i dont know how or where that number on the title came from, but id be happy to take a refund if i was over paying. she mumbled something and said eh were not going to go there, filled out the new weight on the form and ran it in the computer.
189$ for new reg, title. 10.50$ for scale
handed me plates and left.
reg (and new title on the way) says 2014 RAM SUBN nothing about RV or camper or anything. should be good for passing scales
also confused why my bank didn't hold the title, wasn't even sure i had one till i found it locked up.
i suppose i should check with Gieco to make sure insurance is happy still
