I wonder if it's an option to try first by ask the dealer if they can reprogram on your truck with a program that's used in 2014 Ram 3500 with AISIN auto trans? If I recall correctly on some forums some guys with the manual, they had dealer to reprogram them to bring the power level up to what's found in trucks with the AISIN trans.

2014 Ram 3500 with AISIN     385 hp, 850 ft-tq
2014 Ram 4500 with manual  320 hp, 650 ft-tq
2014 Ram 4500 with AISIN       325 hp, 750 ft-tq

If the dealer will do that for you, that'll pretty much means a 65 hp, 200 ft-tq increase for you!

Just an idea if it'll work to have the dealer to reprogram your truck and not void the warranty and possibly cheaper, or free if you can talk haha.

When I was riding with you, I noticed that interesting how it's max boost typically around 19 psi, spikes to 20-21psi sometime. It's just that it don't sounds much. I routinely hit 40 psi of boost in my truck, if I really want to push, I can get 50 psi out of mine, I'm sure it don't like it haha.

Smike,

Do a search on "torque management", the new 12 cummins I had with the G56 had the same feeling that your going through.

Ram basically has some software that de-tunes the engine (boost and whatever else) to keep the trans and clutch alive since they are only rated for 650 ft/lbs.

Most programmers are able to deactivate it, but I just wanted to make you aware of it before your tuner purchase.

The silver 12 Cummins truck I had was a 800 ft/lbs truck and it ran and pulled pretty decent.

I still like the 01 cummins I sold you, and if I bought another it would be a 01-07 with a manual.

On a side note I've been towing the JK with a A class motorhome I bought earlier this summer.

Kinda surprised you went through that much def. That's borderline medium duty usage. I'll usually get 7-8000 per 2.5 gallon jug. Towing it'll drop to 4-5000.

I think there is alot of saftey in the gage.  Just put in 5 gals and it went from below zero to past 100%.  Threw another jug in tool box.

Nick says his truck runs 30psi boost and its the 800 FT LB auto version, must be a 2013?  9.5mpg at 23K lbs

he runs the juice tuner, and said it didnt do much for the truck.  We are going to try his tuner on my truck
