Tonys 2005 rubicon build

This build is on going , so I thought I would share the build so far.

All fabrication and Install was conducted at M4WD or in my garage.

2005 Rubicon 6 speed

Steering

- Currie Steering Kit


Suspension

- Skyjacker Long arm
- Currie/Savvy Front and Rear Double Adjustable upper Control Arm's
- JKS Front and Rear Adjustable track bars
- RE Front and Rear 4.5 Coils
- 1" Daystar Cab/Body Lift
- 1" M.O.R.E Bomb Proof motor mount

Wheels

- Walker Evans 17" Bead Locks Chrome Finish
- 35"Goodyear MTR-K tires

Brakes

-Vanco/Black magic Brakes 16" Big Brake kit w/ Black magic Pads


Drivetrain

- Tom Woods CV Drive Shaft
- Spicer ball joints and U joints
- Ten factory chromoly D44  rear axle shft

Engine

- K&N CAI


Armor

- Custom Transfer/ motor Skid
- Currie Steering box Skid
- Riddler D44 Diff Cover
- Genright Front and Rear G3 tube fenders
- Genright bumper
- Savvy Offroad tailgate armor
- artec d44 front truss/ inner c's

Body

- Rampage Bowless top
- Custom Roll Cage
- Under cover fabrication license plate/cb mount

I am a big fan of Genright products so i got the Genright G3 fenders painted with rustoleum hammered

Inner fender kit is clean

One of the best mods I have done to date,  16" big brake kit by Vanco/Savvy/Blackmagic

Beefy knuckle





Dual Piston brake caliper


install was straight forward, but the ball joints were a bitch to remove due to previous owners lack of care.

Next up one of my Christmas Gifts, The ARTEC Front truss with Currie Johnny Joints... http://www.artecindustries.com/Front-Axle-Truss-for-TJ-LJ-ZJ_p_334.html .... and inner axle seal replacement

start watching the frame.. looks a little crusty..
I never wanted a red car.. always thought they were tacky and common...
I now have 4 very not common cars and they are all red.. :o

Steel, alum I was afraid with trees and tight trails, I plan to wire wheel the surface rust and apply chassis saver this summer...

frame was great when when we did the long arm and cut the brackets off

get the inside as well..
TJ frames after 1998 were treated from the factory less than well..
i guess its just upstate scale im trying to never get use to
I never wanted a red car.. always thought they were tacky and common...
