with the exception of some spring clothing for the boys we have parts...

I never wanted a red car.. always thought they were tacky and common...
I now have 4 very not common cars and they are all red.. :o

Things are pulling together nicely..
to do list is shrinking, yet growing with minor detail items..

Awaiting some fittings and misc. items to cross of big ticket items..
Should be ready for short road test this week.

I was there and I didn't pull the trigger..
It was the pitman arm nut that was just hand tight that made me reconsider the maiden voyage..
Didn't want to end up like the Titanic.

Small but growing list of odds and ends that I want to check, and double check before road testing.

-ARB Air line securing
-ARB front diff fittings
-Ground issue with Tach
-engine bay organization (ARB wire loom, Engine harness trim & extend wires)
-Oil Pressure line placement
-Distributer cap / Spark plug wire organization
-Plumb Washer pump to nozzle
-Hazards
-CEL and Ignition on lights would be nice...
-Hood Prop Rod and Windshield tie down hardware
-coating of various steel parts
-Painting of various parts
-Nut and Bolt car

Some project updates:

Tailgate chains and latches mounted..
Latches are nut and bolt since welding wasn't an option..

Hood secured with some kinda cool turnbuckle/pin style catches..

ARB stuff tucked in with plenty of room for air circulation
Switch pod wired up and weather packed for (3) ARB switches and (1) AUX (LED light bar eventually)

Made up a CAI style intake for the motor.. Going to possibly work on a splash shield for the open element or just use a pre filter when needed.

Started cleaning up the engine bay this morning.
Need to  dress up the harness and actually start putting things in "final locations"

sucks about the cage- it will never look right after what needs to be done.  should have had you and the top on it with the seats mounted before it got welded up.

Still don't really have a top...
the hoops are good from every measurement I can get.. its the noggin clunker that's the only real issue
but yes....  I know..  I'm trying to think about options..
cant run a marathon and trip last 1/4 mile

-Oil Pressure line placement
-Distributer cap / Spark plug wire organization

-CEL and Ignition on lights would be nice...

-coating of various steel parts
-Painting of various parts
-Nut and Bolt car (Half Done)

other odds and ends

-Soft top install
-rear bench (purchase)
-cage modification
-front seats and restraints

Took the car out for the first time on Saturday....
had most of my family over for my birthday (shameless plug) and I needed a few min away.
Ran it up and down the block a few times...
gingerly, then outright full throttle rowing the T18 like something it wasn't.
My brother in law snapped this of me as I pulled in... everybody in my house heard the jeep start and I guess ran to the window to see WTF was going on..

Spend Sunday going through the suspension and body mounts.. nothing was more than wrench snug  ::)  including my seat held in by 1 bolt...

Its a machine!!!  plenty of power, friggin deep gears and at least went in a strait line well....

in the 6 years i have lived here, not a single rake has been used on my lot or the corner lot next to me.

we have (4) 150yr+ trees in sight that are massive.  i guess im just that guy that lets nature do its thing.
