took my scale over to the shop

each of my tree sliders weigh 25 lbs
front bumper 15lbs
rear bumper 20 lbs
front 1/8" plate removed 8lbs
 :o

14bolt spool is 27 lbs-  might lathe off another 8lbs
14bolt oe clam and welded globe 33lbs

have building some spare drive shafts in the back of my mind since even though i have been through a lot of iterations of improvement- they still seem to be one my my common failures.

mid shaft in the car is a good spare, but it has a slugged section, with the failure of plug weld designed removed.  i have 3/8 wall DOM to replace it but having a hard time coming up with a way to adapt while maintaining strength.  have a few 60 pinions laying around, 1350 yokes are 50$ each

im tempted to go back to original 2" 120 wall tube to 14bolt yokes, with a slug of 7075 inside of it to keep bending down

ordered some fresh KRTs

started turning down a yukon spool last night- currently at 12lb lighter than OE clam, have a bit more to go.  all carbides are not a like!  turning twislers!

front solid 60 cover has a crack in it
7075 tie rods machined
winch pulled
radiator mount trimmed up
battery mount trimmed up
mud chipped and vacuumed out of sub

Better find an extra 4 - 5 lbs to shave off somewhere to compensate for the new radio.
