USA Standard shafts are made by Yukon - same materials, process, plant, drawings, etc. The U-Joint area specs aren't met. Meaning they won't hold a CTM or other aftermarket joint, so they are downgraded to USA Standard. As long as you are fine with running Spicer joints, this will never be an issue. They are still strong and etc.

That guy is full of shit, the reason they are USA standard is because they do not meet Yukon specs, Not just in the Cap area, could be a lack of material on the ears, or a out of spec shaft. The specs on the Spicer joint caps are the same as aftermarket.

I haven't bought those yet. Deciding on slugs vs Yukon chromo lockouts vs warn premium lockouts that I already have

If you already have Warn 35-spline lockouts, just run those. Street driving will be much more enjoyable.

It was "ok," I'm not sure what the big complaint was?

I won't be patronizing macgregors again. firing Don for going out with co-workers was my last straw there.
