Predator 3500 extended run
« on: November 05, 2025, 11:11:17 AM »
Looks like the same trick that works on the Hondas exists for the Predators. Disconnect the evap canister from the fuel tank and it'll draw fuel in from an outside canister.
Good to know.

Do the Predator 3500s have a fuel pump or gravity feed?

I have been eying one of these gizmos but not sure I want to go there yet.

My little suitcase unit must not have an evap canister because there is an on/off valve on the cap that will audibly release pressure when opened. I have seen setups where you put a hose barb on the gen fuel cap and run a hose into an elevated gas can with a primer bulb in the hose. Fill gen tank, prime with bulb, dropping fuel level in gen tank draws fuel in from gas can. Usually only an issue for me when using heat but filling at midnight and losing heat at 6am kind of sucks even once a year.

based on those instructions, must have a pump?

I've only wished for longer runs from my 3500 during a power outage. Been a long time since I've even fired mine up.
