Mitsubishi Mini Truck
« on: August 22, 2021, 10:13:21 AM »
Bought it from a dealer that imports these from Japan. It has some engine issues, sat for 4 years not running. He said it has a cylinder that is not working, no diagnosis. Assuming a bad valve or similar issue.

Do you fit in it?

I think mine (also Mitsubishi) is older all around. It has the 550cc motor. Yours should be the 660cc

Mitsu dealers can get parts by part number. There are some links on minitrucktalk on where to get manuals and part numbers if needed.

Is it a proper import than can be registered? They’ve been going for good money where I’ve seen. Reg is expired on mine and I have heard on that site from 2-3 people that NY is taking back titles on them. Not sure if I’d end up losing my title if I re-register it

And more interestingly, how is the NV?

It does have the 660cc 3cylinder engine. I got it running, but not running good. There is a definite misfire.

I fit in it just fine.

It has AC so that increases the value some, The guy said he sells the ones with AC for $6000 or more depending on condition.

I have the title, it is registered as an ATV. Here that means it can be driven on all roads except the highways. No inspections or emissions are necessary. He imports them and gets the inspections done. Arizona titles. He said he can get the next level inspection and paperwork if I want it to be full road legal. But ATV status is fine in all the states near me.

The NV is excellent. I love it. It is more useful than a truck for my needs.

Probably fix it and sell it. Drive it around a little bit maybe.

I always like to have a project to work on so I don't get bored. Sitting on the couch doing nothing is something I try to avaid, haha

Got it running and sold it for double what I paid. Someone wanted much more than I did.  ;D
