must have wifi/bluetooth

grabbed a free HP G60 from my mom, its was a vista machine that has Win7 on it now.  how to i make bluetooth work?  does it not have it?

Win7 is dead. Be careful if it’s online, it’s a year out of patched.

Device manager should show if it has Bluetooth and should show unknown device if it’s missing drivers.

i just dont understand the mechanics of bluetooth if its just a wifi thing or a specific thing

when you search on the computer i find nothing.  DM shows this

wifi and bluetooth aren't the same.

often handled by same chipset on the hardware side, but that doesn't matter.

I think you don't have BT on there.

I was surprised that our desktop machines at work apparently don't generally have BT either -  I thought they would, but I had to specifically hit a laptop to get an example for ya

thats what i was thinking.  ill snag a usb bluetooth adaptor for a couple bucks to try it that way instead of sourcing a new machine.  this one should be more than enough for shop duty and seems to run fine and being cleaned up a bit.

I have a usb WiFi network interface but no blutoot.

7$ to amazon and delevered a USB thingy plugged and and loaded off a cd works great! 

This machine has a cd drive lol
