Enclosed

Considering upgrading the bumper pull to an enclosed. School me on the best deal.

I see used on CL for 4500.

Needs to be a 10k, 6'6" interior height. Probably 24' bumper pull. Or 28'+ gooseneck (which would need to be 7k's probably).

Not easy to find additional height and 10k#.  Make sure you verify with the seller the door opening measurement and interior height before wasting your time driving.  Insulated ceiling is nice in the summer and winter.  Roof vents not required but nice to have.  If you want a finished interior, expect to pay $5k+ for anything newer.  Stick with the big names like Haulmark and Wells Cargo if you don't want cheap crap.  Expect to replace tires if not new.  RV style door latch is great to have.  Most have torsion axles so the trailer needs to be level when loaded.  I don't think that v-nose vs. flat nose makes that much difference behind a pickup like it might with a goose.  Screw vs bonded exterior panels - screws do rust over time and both types wrinkle with hot/cold cycles.  Arched vs flat roofs - as long as it is sealed both are fine.

Aluminum is nice, light, and fuel-friendlier but comes with premium price tag.  Probably save nearly 2000# vs steel.  Vintage, ATC, Featherlight.

Also 1000% sold on weight-distribution hitches too!  Night and day difference.

You get what you pay for!
Buy the most expensive trailer you can afford. It's worth it.

You'll thank me later.

that last one not bad

id recommend a goose neck if you can.  they are just better in all ways haha

i think i sold my black enclosed for $4300.  it was a 93, 10K, 22' deck, 5' over goose, and southern trailer before i got it.

id look down south, its amazing the difference of clean older trailers and the price doesnt seem that much lower.  Racing junk is a good place to look.

is my enclosed tall enough for you? I have to suck down the buggy to make the sail panel numbers fit through the door.

Except when you need to put something in the bed of your truck while towing.
1 jeep in a trailer?
Tag or goose = same same.
More than 1 jeep = Goose Me.

Thanks for the feedback

I'm in the 4-5k range on budget. Second link is perfect, they just won't reply. I assume sold.

I would definitely prefer gooseneck, but limited market and more expensive.

That said, I'm open to ideas. Nothing set in stone.

One of my gripes about goose VS tag is yiu are typically tied to one truck.
Pretty much every truck 1 ton or 1/2 ton has a hitch installed.
And if your truck breaks down on the interstate... the tag so more easily recovered.
Just some of my thoughts.
