i did a few full pull 2nd gear to lock stops in the delphi lot before i left work.  Both with the trac control on and off and it seems fine now.

i may have also been fooling myself because i havent driven it in weeks, and the IH stops on a dime with 3/4ton and no weight.

at least the RAM MC looks like a 10min change minus the supposed tool to cycle abs module.

loaded and rolling as soon as the chip arrives.

packed a tool back actually  :o

83K on rear drives.  Not sure they will pass inspection on the inside duals.  probably good for another 40k on a trailer.

looking at tires- crazy amazon has 245 G rated for under 200$ drives or steers delivered.

or i bet an hour with the tire grover would make them fine lol

225 steers were changed out from bad ball joints at 50k or so and they still look 80% or better

got another recall notice in the mail, this one is even more comical than your water pump might fail and engine fire.

this time- says my lug nuts may have been over tightened during service and the wheel studs may fail causing loss of wheel.   No fix available yet.

glad i don't let morons work on my vehicles and im the only one thats ever pulled the front tires off the truck, rear have never been removed ha.

83K and still original rear tires and brakes.

87k and first brake sweek heard about 10 miles ago.

expeced fronts, but rears were Fucked!  both lower slider bolts seized.

took 6+ hours to remove rear duals as they have never been off the truck since assembly.  got a 20ton hockey puck for my porto power after breaking 3/8 chain and 3/8 bolts with my 20ton bottle jack on hub and chain through wheel spokes.

iddle'd the truck in 4wd on the lift and went at all 4 rotors aggressive with air chisel and then flap wheel   :o

pad slapped rear, fixed sliders and should be good for another 50K

used about a full bottle of anti seize for mounting of 6 tires.

found one dual at 35psi, i guess i need to check that again some time.

new rear pads feel good.

Noticed a noise/skip in 4x4 when i got the truck just a hair stuck this week.

I pulled the front diff cover and all looks ok, oil was brand new looking

i dont see any front drive shaft or front axle ujoint play

Transfer case fluid was about 1/2" below fill plug, and was brown / smelled burnt ATF

changed that with the only thing documented, 70$ for 2 quarts mopar Tcase fluid for 44-47 case.
im thinking the chain is worn and stretched and slips under load?  does it in 4 low and 4 high idling with some ebrake applied at random times.

E-brake only loads rear, that doesn’t seem right.

Seems awfully early for chain stretch without being nearly empty of fluid but that’s about the only thing left. Sucks!

ebrake while driving on gravel

i didnt ebrake it and idle while it was on the lift.

nothing wrong with rear though in 2wd no noise.

has to be tcase related, front driveshaft, or wheel joints.

front diff appears to be some kind of sealed limited slip also, which i wasnt expecting.

Is there a pro cover or something you can investigate the chain condition through without splitting the case?

the drain plug lines up with the chain, i can lift the chain about an inch with a screw driver there.  that was how i kinda assumed it was the chain
