Hopewell Rocks were epic. Visited at low tide on our way to Halifax and hiked around for a couple hours

Here’s a time lapse of the tide there

then stood in the surf on the North Atlantic side of NB before a fantastic dinner on a river

still mad about it ha

i even hassled Joe about his oil soaked dust caked filter when he complained about down on power and made him change it to a new one before his run.  never even thought to look at mine.  I guess i dont equate dust with Field and Forest, but know better now.

That sucks - I did not realize you were so down on power. Watching 30 runs they all blend together a little but I do remember thinking I expected a little more enthusiasm during yours... makes sense now

Same dock today minutes after high tide.

Boats were just setting down on the bottom 2 hours later as we finished lunch

Talked with one of the captains a bit. They dock here because it’s close to both home and their grounds (bay is zoned, permit only good within your zone). Third generation, younger than me. More than happy to shoot the shit for a bit. Prepping for their season that starts 10/14 through dec/jan.

It’s quieter than the 3500 and rides better too. I miss my manual. The aisin is always shifting.

Noted a little stutter leaving the line late yesterday. While cornering both times. Could be trans or limited slip. Didn’t notice it today (just townie running today. Trailhead, harbor, restaurant, back to same site)

Takes me seconds to level with my new scrap-built ramps, thrilled with them.

Hows the new truck on this trip for ya?  Assuming you're using it.

Must be some damn good fishing to ground your boat at the dock daily

Haven’t seen high tide yet. Will be 15-20’ of water here. The shore is hundreds of yards out from this harbor. Tide was up several feet from minimum and the river was still flowing out.

humble pie qualifying went pretty good with hero traction.  couple spots of minor traffic slowed us down, but really the biggest was the 25mins Nate and Andy made us wait while they were on one of the summit climbs tying to "no winch" but using a crew of people to stack rocks and logs to the point of buffoonery.  that was pretty discouraging and annoying.   after the first 10 minutes nick wanted me to turn around and leave the trail, we should have it would have been faster to come back later.

Bounty run was less than impressive.  my foot was on the floor most of the time with no response of power.  Discovered yesterday first hill climb of the day on some Catskills property with Nick, my air filter was packed solid with dust only giving me 1/4-1/2 power if that.  knocked / blew dust out, power and boost returned.  really bummed about it.

i thought my trans was stuck in 2nd or something was really wrong with PCM tune / torque management.

o well.

Zero systems issues so far. Went through 100% of water during humble pie with three showers, went out as we were packing: perfect.

0.9gal of diesel for heat. Furnace controller is insane with awful chingrish instructions.
