I never wanted a red car.. always thought they were tacky and common...

Probably 30 minutes out of the way on my way to NY. If you look at a map, I will be leaving from Middletown and heading up 9 to 91 to the Mass pike. Regardless, I don't mind picking them up as long as he can meet Friday afternoon at the latest.

For $120 I'd take the working trans an tcase. those are good bench parts when I have a TDI around.
