Thanks

I had to order some parts to plumb the OEM GM calipers instead of the Kodiak specific ones. Banjo versus standard trailer plumbing. Kodiak solves that with deleting the banjo and adding a second bleeder both tapped 1/8”NPT with an NPT adaptor. I didn’t want to pull pistons and want to be able to bolt on a $16 caliper again later so money spent to adapt through AN universal brake line stuff. Thats always annoying.

Need to repair an M11x1.5 thread too (yeah, really. Nice and common) where a hole stripped and caliper came off.

Didn’t do anything to be able to turn 8 lug rotors yet, nor to fix my 3phase. Suppose that should come soon on the list.

Tires off and wheels refinished is the goal today. Fuck are they ever crunchy and crusty.

This really has my hands and forearms tingling after an hour or two. So much scale. But I think ready for wash and rusty metal primer maybe

Grabbed 6 domestic brand 225-19.5s with about 20% tread and late 2020 date codes from a guy in Churchville for a hundred bucks.

My out of round “good” spares had 2003 date codes so they’re going away along with all four that were on the trailer. Dismounts done tonight and truck loaded for tire recycling Saturday morning. Hopefully I don’t get crap for all 19.5s lol

I’ll put the 4 perfect wear drives on the trailer and keep the 2 fronts that have shoulder wear and tall centers as loose spares. Still have a mounted HSR spare too, should see how old that is.

All brake parts should be here, didn’t unbox and assemble yet but hopefully this thing can be back in service by end of weekend.

Then I just need some time on the camper to flatten the bottom with some re plumbing and I’ll be ready for trailer-Based adventures.

One of the new tires is a leaker, flat after sitting the winter. May as well add to the LONG list of needed tire maintenance
