keeping an eye out for a gen iv 6.0/6.2 with 6l80e/ 6l85e/ 6l90e for 571.
not sure what I'll do for a tcase, depends on exactly how lengths would work out.
prefer a complete donor vehicle for known running status and complete wiring harness.

How long would it take you guys to mangle up that aluminum skid?

I'd probably put one good scar in it before I was changing axle shafts with a v8 and 35s. Though a 305 probably doesn't have THAT much more ass than a 258.

it wouldnt be damaged, because it would just fall off.  i only see about 10 bolts total for the 4 pieces.

someone put a lot of work into that jeep and was probably happy with it.  different tastes.

what do you suppose is the catch with this one? $5k for 2007.5 6.0 work truck without a ton of rust, with new tires, with a lift gate.

https://buffalo.craigslist.org/cto/6010522049.html

seems like a very very easy 3000+ in part-out in just bed, gate, wheels and tires. assuming people eventually bite, of course.

EDIT: seems that's actually right around book. they just aren't for sale at that age, and it seems they fall off a cliff at 7-8 years old. the 2010s are twice that price.
