fuel gauge in this thing is a little funny. I kept track last tank after I questioned my sanity. Range is 330+ miles on a full fill. I haven't run it out, but I don't think I could get 50 miles on the last quarter of the tank. Once it hits a quarter, it was 14 miles until the low fuel light came on at 1/8. I think it's a 12.5 gal tank and I put 11.5 in it, so another 25-30 miles range remaining with the light on.

200 miles on the top half of the gauge, 100 miles on the bottom half. 60 miles from half to a quarter and less than 40 to dead empty.

it was literally 14 miles from the 1/4 mark to the 1/8 and fuel light on.

Good thing to know.
So far pretty much loving this thing. Door cards and seats need some work.

I think I hurt this today. Noted no heat coming into the village on my way home. Temp gauge high.

Got it home successfully, another 4-6 miles. Check engine light lit halfway. Won’t start.

Hadn’t had temp regulation issues since I replaced the radiator months ago.

Knock sensor codes and overheat code

Stayed clear after clearing

All sensors reading as they should.

Fired after a minute or more of cranking. Misfires on #4 counted up continuously.

#1 and 4 plugs looked very dark, 3&2 very light.

Probably had gasket failure mid block, at best. Compression psi in photo

I’ll pull the head once I decide where I want it parked and decide further from there. I think it’ll move on its own if I can get it to start again so I may as well drive it to where it lands.

Gasket slap in frame? About a hundred bucks in parts. Swap in something else either for fun or for fun? Probably be a 60mpg TDI or mid 20s with an LS crammed in. It’s 30mpg and pretty slow with the stock 1.9 bmw motor
