first two are very nice, i still like that second one. exactly what i want.
keep in mind 10k axles for a 32 is undersized in my opinion....
-
Giving up on the topper & keeping bumper pull?
-
Yea, the 5k axles are undersized.
-
bugger buggy needs bigger trailer. liz and kids need bigger place to sleep also!
-
Its either spend $2k and upgrade the axles on the Aussie trailer, or sell it and get a bigger Gooseneck.
-
A bathroom would be nice :)
-
Its either spend $2k and upgrade the axles on the trailer, or sell it and get a bigger Gooseneck.
That's where I was last year, but without the diesel dually tow rig...
-
At least I have the right truck for the job. :)
-
My next thought is a slide-in and an open trailer. Just too many options. Got to find me a better truck... :-/
-
slide ins are stupid. get a goose with quarters and storage thats nice. its on my list after the new truck. we have to start thinking about KOH travel plans next year.....
-
lets make them now ill fill out my time request now.
-
hey mister! just 'cause this is your board doesn't mean you can call my ideas stupid... ;D
-
I like the slide in idea. Just not for 4 people.
-
Liz says we NEED a trailer with living quarters now. :'(
-
I think it's the best choice especially once the kids start going.
-
yes
to bad you guys live in a gay neighborhood where people will hassel you eventually with a big ass trailer
-
I don't think they would. Plenty of people with big campers stored in their yards and no one says anything now.
-
their kids, throw them in a tent ;D
-
Oh man you have a lot to learn...
-
I slept in a tent when when my parents were camping. And look how I turned out!
-
Yeah he does!!
*they're
-
The biggest issue especially at raush is the bathroom situation and lack of running water. Two huge things with the kids.
-
And those are huge things with a wife too. :)
-
Yes, yes they are.
-
This wife and kids thing sounds like a hassle :P
-
Yes, yes they are.
-
I used to sleep in a tent in the yard for fun when I was little. they will manage!
-
That's what I'm sayin yo!
-
Its less hassel for me if I just give her what she wants. ;D
And a nice bed and AC in the trailer wont be too bad. I guess a tent is better, but whatever the wife wants. Hahahah
-
And that makes for a happy marriage :)
-
If mama ain't happy...
-
sleeping in a nice warm bed in a trailer is so nice.
-
http://www.racingjunk.com/Used-Trailers/2465559/03-Gooseneck-36-foot-3-axle-pace.html
-
Nice looking goose
-
They are asking $2k too much.
-
maybe inside has gold walls
-
Time to get serious, delivering the trailer to its new owner tomorrow, unless he flakes on me.
-
thought you had another year on it? didnt know it was for sale....
-
woah
-
How big is Eriks trailer?
-
i believe its 38' deck, plus 8 over the goose, its an 18K gross that weighs 9K empty
-
post up any good ones you find, i am looking for a bigger trailer also.
-
i like this one :)
http://www.racingjunk.com/Used-Trailers/2467199/39-Gold-Rush-Gooseneck-.html
-
That trailer has 3 3500# axles seems odd
-
does seem odd, but its all aluminum :)
i decided i want 8 lug on my next trailer. i am sick of tires.
-
E-rated or you want to go bigger to 19.5"s
-
Or even 17.5's if you're looking to keep it low
-
There is a 17.5" ?
-
19.5"s
the wheels that are on my dodge should fit nicely on a trailer
-
Eriks is only 38' it looks huge. Most of the ones I am seeing with living quarters are 40' I would like to stay under that if possible. 34 or 36 would be ideal. Even 32 if I could find it.
-
where the heck are you going to keep one of these things?
-
Same place as the other one. Its perfectly fine.
-
Eriks is only 38' it looks huge. Most of the ones I am seeing with living quarters are 40' I would like to stay under that if possible. 34 or 36 would be ideal. Even 32 if I could find it.
I thought his was a 36 or 38' DECK so it's probably a 46-48 overall. The enclosed are always dimensioned overall length. I seem to recall thinking Erik's was my trailer, but with a roof.
-
So you think a 40' is like 32' floor and 8' goose part? I have no clue how they measure.
-
So you think a 40' is like 32' floor and 8' goose part? I have no clue how they measure.
in all cases where I've bothered to check, yes. they sell at 40' trailer that is really 36+4 or 34+6 or 32+8 depending on the length of the nose. By that dimension I should talk about having a 43' trailer, myself.
-
This is nice
http://moonengineering.net/id19.html
-
that looks NICE
-
Is there a price on it and where is it?
-
Georgia, was listed in Racing junk with a truck for $24k, so no price on just the trailer.
-
get a new one
http://www.racingjunk.com/Cargo-Enclosed/2276280/8.5x32-ENCLOSED-CARGO-CAR-HAULER-GOOSENECK.html
-
We are thinking ahead, we would like one with a bathroom for the long trips, like for instance KOH 2013. A shower would feel great after a few days in the dust. Or even at Rausch after a race, a nice hot shower will be great. So living quarters are a must now.
-
i just need more deck, i have a shower and place to sleep. bathroom would be nice!
-
Just dropped the Aussie trailer off. Got exactly what was paid for it 2+ years ago.
-
Used trailers are nice that way. An that was a NICE trailer.
-
That trailer is only 6'6" inside, I dont think my tall ass will like that very much.
-
yeah, not being able to sit up in bed is a bitch..
-

kinda seems expensive for annoyingly small garage and living areas.
-

-
like it
looks like a lot to pull...
-
Looks just like Corik's!
-
The inside is beat.
-
I don't like it. It's yucky.
-
But it's luxurious, the ad says so!
-
i didnt see any inside pics
-
He emailed them. It is far from nice.
-
but it has real hardwood and travertine and granite

-
Not when it's that nice, but where's the bunk bed for the kiddos?
-
looks comfy
-
It does look nice, and it looks big. It looks like you could fit 2 cars in there.
-

nice way to split a bit of cost of KOH next year..
-
Is 48' too long?
http://www.rvtrader.com/listing/2000-Other-US-Cargo-Car-Hauler-102236576
Looks like the best one so far.
-
would be nice to know weight, GWR, axle weight ratings and garage length and height. And width with that built in sweet ladder. pretty short on details for a "real ad"
-
21000 pound. 3 7000 axles. Garage is 21 feet. I need to have him measure the door.
-
important detail: you're not gonna be legal to pull it on a class D license unless you can register your truck at 5,000#. And I don't think the DMV will let you reg under the curb weight their computer says your truck is. Might get lucky though, those weights reeeeeealy low from what I remember.
21' sure isn't two rigs long but it's a rig and a rhino or two or quads or a Sammi....
probably gives it an 11k payload too which is plenty.
-
Put some camper decals on the side and just keep on rolling and play dumb!
-
Doesn't work that direction, Nick. That shit applies when the toter is the RV not the trailer.
-
It will get registered in Maine for whatever I tell them.
-
I did hear a good one about a monster toter getting around a scale house issue last show though.
He bypassed an open scale and got pulled over, they wanted him to cross because of the commercial nature of the trailer. He refused to pull his privately registered RV across the scales and was going to drop the trailer, told them they were welcome to pull the trailer across but his RV wasn't going to do it. Supposedly they let him go. He weighs about 88k loaded... Lighter than some others I know of. The one Brett crews for scales at 95.
I can't believe they do what they do weekend after weekend.
-
It will get registered in Maine for whatever I tell them.
Oh yeah, forgot Maine will underrate. That's easy then. Over registered weight ticket at worst is NBD at all.
-
Looks nice, not sure on the living area?
http://tricities.craigslist.org/cto/2865742255.html
-
and you said my trailer "Looks extremely large. " ;D
what does a 40' triple axle trailer with living quarters weigh in at? 10-12K?
Plus buggy and gear/parts/fluids....
this is worth a read. http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=846630
his trailer started at 6540# empty.

eriks is 9k empty

I think I will bid this one up. 40' seems more manageable than 48'

-
Ohio trailer FTL.
Still on the hunt.
-
FTL=?
-
For the loss. No trailer.
-
ah, bummer.
-
What happened?
-
Buggy would not fit the way it was configured, height wise. And spendind that kind of money, I did not want to have to re-configure it to work, SO I opted to pass on it. It was not in too nice of shape either. Old looking, tires had some cracking, roof had a leak they "fixed"
Should have been in better shape for the money.
-
Sounds like you wasted a trip? Shitty.
-
It was a nice day for a drive.

short story liz said it was a piece of shat, lets go jeans shopping instead.... :)

I thought you said 32 was too small?

It looks like its really a 40'
-
yeah that looks like a 32' deck, not LOA
-
also its a 7' look at the door, plus the foot over the door.
gawd i hate 6' man doors on peoples trailers and i love my 6'6" door! :)

-
I may be heading that direction soon.
A living quarters would be nice, but If we cant find one..................
-
I like the black one in MA
-
Its really large. Im concerned about it being so long.
-
i am with liz that is a good one. Id like more deck and less living but looks good for you guys. only 8-10 over all length more than pulling a 24+ bumper you were pulling...
-
id be more concerned about the 8.5' tall, that is a lot of air to pull up front
-
Put a bubble on it, it'll be fine. Rywann needs that head room!
-
It's a lot to store at the house but I like that one.
-
Ohhhh man I am forecasting a bigger truck in the future!
-
No. No truck. No more spending money!! Unless I'm at the mall..
-
You are going to at least need a dump bus to pull that size of a trailer.
-

love it. surprised at no interior pics.
-
expensive, old <heavy> interior needs a lot of work.
-
No LQ
-
I'm confused then but that's okay and normal.
-
I don't want to look at or talk about trailers anymore.
-
buy a new one, pay someone to put quarters in it.
simple, new, clean, sell it in 2 years
-
Yes that is looking like the best idea.

$10k for a new 36'

1.5 days after i submitted my trailer plus cash offer to that one in dayton and have not herd back.
-
463 miles away and he wants me to bring my trailer to him for him to look at. FML
-
Is this the guy that comes to geneseo, meet him there. People are goofy. I should know its something I would have said not really thinking right.
-
he wont be in Geneseo till May, and not with the trailer this time.
-
thats dumpy. Still would not haul out just to haul back same trailer , we should go wheel wellsvile, at least its in the same direction.
-
any update ryan? when are you back? when is the tour and GOF at your place in the new bar?
-
we were in contact while on the road, he should have beat me home yesterday by quite a bit. I know he made it to the NY/PA line, he checked in on FB. Never got the "it looks enormous next to the house" picture though.
-
Yea, its huge. Looney tunes enormous huge. ;D
Its nice, you dirty bastards are not allowed in it. Hahahahaha

yes, and i LOVE that its 2 axle 8 lug. dont want like ryans was.

That didn't even register with me. hah

MBI just called me, Maine wanted their 5% sales tax. Girl on the phone said they're changing things all the time... so cost me another $75. maybe should check out the other place you and Smike went?
I think the parents paperwork only says $1500 too though so not like it's a big deal.

must be a REALLY light trailer to float it self!
-
Funny math is funny.
Good complete numbers though, even if he described them poorly. It really annoys me when a trailer is just rated at its axles' capacity for GVWR, ignoring pin capacity. That means its under-framed or over-axled.
