I believe 87-90 XJ were the Renix 4.0. Still electronic and fuel injected, predecessor to 91+ HO 4.0

its a solid jeep... built well and under priced IMO..

if anybody here is interested I can post up what it has.. or had when I got rid of it..
I never wanted a red car.. always thought they were tacky and common...
I now have 4 very not common cars and they are all red.. :o

1987 Jeep Cherokee.
Jeep is in excellent shape for the year. Jeep is from CT so NO SALT rot. there is obviously some surface rust considering it's a 26 yr old truck.

Price is good
28amps is same as our Miller Spectrum 375
Great for general purpose / rough cutting.

I don't know anything about older TD machines. I know the new stuff has good reputation.
I'd look into finding consumables for it first before I bought it.
Buying older welders and plasma cutters is a gamble IMO.
