I don't think this 24v has ever been that high.

I had a vacuum line come off and blow lots of oil out with the vacuum pump, it lost pressure for half a second at idle twice in newburgh when I got there, before I put about 6-7 quarts in it - that's the only funny thing that's happened to it. had to be it?

24v don't have governor springs, they have a computer.

What am I supposed to keep telling myself? that the one funny thing that happened a couple hundred miles before the problem was noticed is most likely what caused it? or that I don't rev it past 3k?

hmmm.  definate could be root of problem.   wonder if its fine like chevy rod motors forever in buggies.

oh, you're talking valve springs. yeah, the stock 24v springs are better than the stock 12v springs.

my governor is springs too - and that's what is a 4k spring in my pump.

I'm thinking it might be a time bomb with a long timer, but who knows? this motor has had more blowby than I like from day 1 but I couldn't beat the price. :shrug:

supposedly had 130k on it when I put it in, that's unverified and unknown and uncertain. The bus it came from was wrecked and the ECM was damaged so I couldn't have had Cummins pull info  for me if I wanted to.

I've put 59,000 on it since.
