after this round, the important keys grew airtags that I intend never to take off. I HATE the extra bulk of a keychain thing on already thick modern car keys especially, but I'm *done* misplacing critical 1 of 1 items. overdue.

No crank. Dead in the water

Guess it’ll be easier to diagnose?

symptoms potentially match a TIPM issue. that's about a $1000 parts cannon shot. going to run through all diagnostics that I can find and go from there.

TIPM reports some weird values from PCM/ECU

65,635 rpm
Current speed 318.15mph

All else nominal and accurate to switched position changes and commanded tests.

Ecu functions mostly or entirely give communication errors

Cleared all codes. U1601 remained. ABS codes all remained.

TIPM
U0100 - no communication with ECM/PCM - active

TPMS and SKREEM (wireless) both still have U0141 not TIPM comm - stored

Seems possible to be ECM/PCM (which?) or a wiring harness issue somewhere.
I will check all fuses next step, could be no power to ECM?

Still no crank.

Will disconnect batteries overnight and come back to this

common cause on the internets of u1601 is interrupted tuner coding. might be worth seeing if the Smarty Jr. will talk to it and try to reflash. I haven't touched the tune in ages.

Contacted the ECU rebuilders at SIA electronics who fixed the N14 Cummins ECU for me on Joe.

Fuse and relay checking next, then I need to find a better continuity and resistance check table than I've found to go through the harness between the ECU/PCM/TIPM to check can bus things and supply pins. that'll be a thrill. Might try to get it in the shop, I don't think I've tried to move this one from its tail with the forklift before with the lunette ring.

TIPM is a one year part, '07 2500/3500

ECU is kinda crazy (and I'm making a maybe dumb assumption that pickup and C&C use the same)
Buyer's Guide : DORMAN 318062 Engine Control Module (ECM Computer)
DODGE GRAND CARAVAN 2011
DODGE RAM 2500 PICKUP 2007-2009
