front d60 (chevy and ford) - 69.25
rear d60 - 66"
srw 14b  - 67"
c&c 14b - 63"

chopped d60 front and c&c 14b would be sweet at 63 wms. narrowing the front is way easy. $200 custom shaft and done

I’m putting a lot of thought into my axles.. don’t want to have any shoula, woulda, coulda with this truck...

waiting for matt to get back to me on what D44's he has.. doing something custom isn’t out of the question...
outboard springs will be required either way I feel...

trigger pulled on Transmission and Tcase 5 min ago  ;D

Did I mention I havent even seen the jeep yet in person ....  I just love collecting parts!!

i have a free set of 44's  i need to pick up, think they are driver drop though

i outboarded the springs on my CJ8, not a big deal with a solid frame.

i think a 1 ton 6 on 40's would be a cool street rig   haha

Mentally challenging day at the office.. so I’ve taken the last 45 min to do some interwebing on the CJ…

spring over tons tires

spring over
ok.. assuming this is done.. how do you address axle wrap?  kind of a noob question.. but everything, including my MJ, is SUA..  I haven’t dealt with this before..
tons
doing some axle research..  not a fan of FS width on a NT body
tires
driving me crazy... stay in my comfort zone 35" and under or bump it up a notch...  seems to impact choice of axles

axle wrap :  myth people whole build shitty lifted jeeps made up

Tons go chevy 60/14

Tires:  H1 wheels have 7.25" back space and the military 37"s are quite attainable for cheep.  wear like steel, look awesome- seem to have good reviews off road for the buck

your NT jeep NEEDS at least 2" on each side to be "normal"  with 37" and h1's it look awesome.  i have seen tons under TJs you cant even tell they are 37's because they look great.

could do a custom long side on the chevy front, and then run two short sides in the rear 14.  this would eliminate your outboard spring issues also on the cheep.....

that's almost a built set of axles - mild geared, locked rear, limited front.... those were going for nigh on three grand when it was still a grand for a set of stock tons. Matt stole the set of those he found.

Finding a set for under $800 is getting harder and harder.

I just paid $450 for the set of 60s I just got, I had to drive 2 hours to get them. And that was the best deal I have got on a set. Paid $500 for the ones in the Profender buggy.

If your time is more valuable than mine finding a good set local for $800-$1000 would not be a bad thing, shipping would be what $500? I had a good day with the kids in the truck, so it was a good road trip.
