Decided on Tub emblem..

off of a 60's Gladiator...  couldn't stick a plastic emblem on there.. needed a real metal one.

I never wanted a red car.. always thought they were tacky and common...
I now have 4 very not common cars and they are all red.. :o

Smike...

thinking about restraints for the rear...
I still want to have the functionality of a load space if ever needed.. but I also have the ok to take the kids if I get 5 pts in the rear...

I think a whole rear area sub frame tied to the cage is just overkill...
Seat is bolted to the floor..  I think I would bolt lap belts to tub as well..
would it be possible, and safe to use tube collars and make a removable chest harness bar?
Im thinking something that spans the width of the cage, slight rearward bend....

ya that would be fine.  just what i was thinking before i scrolled down to see the second pic.

Lab and sub belts fine to that tub- id put some fender washers on the bottom side of hardware if you have any consern about it, but its got to be 3x stronger than any production unit i have cut up.

Blew through whatever gas was left over from the winter and washed it over the weekend..

its ready for some miles and more shake down runs before turning my attention to engine tuning.

of course there is still the ever present "to do" list, but its getting shorter and less important (like who needs hazards)

ill need it dropped off. it will have some bends in the bar to off set it towards the rear of the tub a little.  This will make it so the clamps are actually removable.  if i recall those pillars are parallel so it cant just be a straight piece of tube or you would never get it in our out.

RAM is setup with flat bed extensions right now if you need me to grab it.  Rover work soon too?

i might actually be caught up with work this week minus some trailer finish work / on going XJ CEL issue investigation....
