pulled this kid into the shop last night late, very nice interior and pretty clean on the outside.

Cool jeep.

it was deff done right...
the guy I got it from is a fanatic about clean interior...
I ever like the way he cut the carpets... kinda the lazy way to fix the typical XJ leaks..

I should have left this guy alone.  nothing around the rot is structural to the leave mounts and those are solid as are the unibody rails.

i punched out the passenger side and welded in a first piece, it will need about two more, and some seam sealer.

the other side isnt too bad.

nice jeep, i like how he cut the carpet out

I might drop the winch over @ south tomorrow with the Seam Sealer... whatever we have in stock...

glad to hear the rot wasn't so bad... but since it has to go through a real inspection id rather be safe than sorry...
I really want to get my wife out on a trail and this jeep will be more than adequate....

plus it will give me something fun to drive this winter...

bumper mounted,
looks like truck was hit in front passenger side.  bent that back out, welded in a couple nuts, not sure how the bumper was intended to be mounted.  looks good

Steering stabilizer and motor mounts done.

Motor mounts were a pain in the ass, who comes up with this shit.  Have to remove the oil filter and oilfilter housing from the block to get the motor mount bolt out.  Both were exploded and completely separated, so good find for fix.

no progress attempted on rot floors  :)
