some dumb b on her phone vered into my lane merging on to Jefferson road with hard curbs on both sides and almost wrecked me today.

I slammed on brakes hard enough i ended up in a 4 wheel slide at about 45 degrees to my original direction of travel.  throttle and steering was required to not case the curb as it was a 2 lane ramp with hard curbs

then later i coasted off of 531 out of fuel.  i guess 1/4 really means empty.  able to get it restarted and limp to a kwick fill at the first intersection barely lol

New quiet flow muffler installed this morning.  Zero drone or any more claptrap shit sound.  So much better and perfect amount of v8 when you stand on it.

Got its first hand wash!

I commented on that when you left last night. sounded a lot like the drone Eric was looking to remove from his Ram. Excellent!

hit 1000 miles on this guy yesterday

doors got adjusted and much easier to open
exhaust much more pleasant.

needs to get on the lift next week- has some type of low speed rattle in the drive line since it was built- sounds like front drive shaft speed not wheel speed

some google foo

discovered common GMT800 front diff issue, there is a little stupid tab behind the driver side front diff output bearing that holds preload.  the only thing that holds the tab into the lock nut is the seal press.  the tab floats so you cant "peen" it over or lock it any other way.

popped out the cv and seal and with my finger could literally lift the side of the diff (and gear set?) about 1/16" of an inch.

tightened preload nut about 2 turns, seated lock tab, added a few shims and re installed seal after some bench straigthing where my 3 jaw slide puller kissed it a bit.

swapped in stock torsion keys back in to lift the front up a bit as its still rubbing on bumps and with 2 passengers its worse.

gave it a once over, all looks good.

getting loaded on a trailer to deliver to new owner tomorrow.    :-[
