Killing Japanese beetles is my new part time job.   Probably 100/day between the both of us.  Plus traps are full daily.

These guys arrived today, grape vine beetles, said to be harmless.

Look lots like Japanese beetle to me but no green iridescence and bigger?

My dumb neighbor is cutting down half a dozen mature trees because his wife does t like boxelder bugs

City slicker mentality in the country is weird. Especially for people who’ve lived there 30+ years. This isn’t the new neighbors next door, they’re great. This is the ones in the small lot behind me

Yeah they're a light brown color and quite large. There are 4 now. My vineyard is very small so they better chill haha.

2nd planting of beans coming in and picked as much as i could carry today.  holding out on a couple 2' zuchinnis for pizzas for hallowheeling!

frost killed some leaves but everything should still be fine for a couple of weeks and loving the rain.  need some sun days now for the final push!
