Second fire downstairs, had to remove a relatively large bird from the chimney. Alive and well, so recent entrant. Too large to fly back up, i pulled the new cap off the bottom. But apparently small enough to fit between the chimney cap louvers. Also a bit of a puddle on that bottom cap. So perhaps there’s a top cap issue. Looked good from the ground in the dark.

Found by Titan this afternoon while I was at work, outside the shop.

Remotes on all four garage doors.

Hope range isn’t TOO good - the buttons really hang out and are easy to accidentally push in a pocket.

Got four of these, using three. Was able to share one recover for two of the shop doors since they have two relays. Found single button control contacts on all openers. Pretty sweet!

Got all excited about buying a trencher. Home Depot tool rental has one for sale CHEAP in Batavia.

Store says the site is frequently wrong and that unit isn’t for sale.

So, still need to rent one to run power and water and network. Humbug.

$150ish for a 4hr rental or 200ish for 24hr from Victor Depot. Did it for the gutter drainage.

And as with every used equipment purchase: deferred maintenance item bit me.

It’s a good unit but the end bearing was seized. That wasn’t compatible with my rocky backfill. Parts available. Just a delay.

Not having a fun time with pull string through 1/2” pvc conduit. But it’s all in the ground and buried. Shop wired network is all dressed. Need to do both ends on the stable power still.
